Our Community

We are one of seven regional leadership academy’s working to deliver the national NHS Leadership Academy’s services on a localised level. Local expertise means the network is equipped to shape and influence leaders at every level across the country. By working as a tight network, our national and regional reach is greater.

The NHS North West People Team work within the region to deliver the priorities of the NHS People Plan.

We are strong advocates for collaboration and work with diverse partners, development providers and sectors. We co-design impactful leadership development interventions and develop excellent health and care leaders.

Through partnership working we are able to work flexibly and deliver key activity, without duplication, to meet the needs of our stakeholders. This provides space to share intelligence, knowledge and connect people across the system.

We are a member of the North West Learning and Development Collaborative, a collective of organisations who provide the health and care system access to innovation, improvement and leadership development. We work collaboratively to streamline, communicate and signpost to the range of support offers available across all organisations.

We are also part of the NW Masterclass Collaborative, an influential partnership formed from cross sector organisations in the North West. The NHS NWLA work in partnership with Mersey Internal Audit Agency (MIAA), the Advancing Quality Alliance (Aqua), North West Employers (NWE), and the North West Association of Directors of Adults Social Care Services (ADASS).

By combining our unique specialisms, we deliver a series of masterclasses that champion innovative thinking, expert speakers and provide cross sector knowledge sharing for leaders across the North West.
