About the FAST Programme – Facilitator Development
Foundations of Applied Systems Thinking (FAST) equips neighbourhood teams with the methods and tools to understand and act together on their service system, as well as the skills needed to work effectively across organisational and professional boundaries.
Alongside the FAST programme for neighbourhood teams, we are also seeking applications from colleagues who would like to become accredited FAST Facilitators. Successful applicants will receive comprehensive training and support from experienced systems thinking practitioners. Following accreditation, they will be licensed to deliver the FAST programme and individual sessions within their system until June 2028.
Who Should Apply?
We welcome applications from neighbourhood and place professionals who:
• Enjoy collaborating, facilitating learning, and working with others.
• Have an interest in systems thinking and improving complex service systems.
• Have experience in delivering training, facilitation, coaching, or workforce development activities.
• Have support from a senior sponsor and opportunities to deliver future cohorts within their system.
Commitment required
- Attend 6 days of facilitator training (Sept–Dec 2026).
- Facilitate 1 FAST programme for others (10 × 3-hour sessions) between Sept–Dec 2026.
- Facilitate 1–2 additional FAST programmes for others between Jan–July 2027.
Facilitator training outline
- 0.5-day introduction
- 5 full training days (aligned to course session pairs)
- 0.5-day wrap session
Delivery and accreditation
- Delivered online via Teams by expert Systems Thinking practitioners with decades of experience.
- Focused on hands-on skills development in using systems thinking methods and tools.
- Leads to accreditation following observed delivery to a live cohort.
