Leading Transformation and Change
This is a two part session
Session 1 – 6th June 9:00am – 12:00pm
Session 2 – 13th June 9:00am – 12:00pm
Overview:
Rapid change and disruption characterise the current climate in which NHS organisations operate. In this context, System Leaders have to introduce, manage and sustain change to achieve organisational objectives, whilst maintaining people’s commitment to the process. However, implementing and sustaining change is not always easy or straightforward. Challenges occur in various forms; lack of collaborative working or leadership, resistance to change, rigid organisational cultures, etc.
During the 2 online modules you will:
The workshop will consist of two half-day modules and set up the ground for a change process by focusing on the here and now, creating a sense of urgency and considering how to build a network of ‘change agents’. You will focus on developing a vision and a strategy that helps guide the change process and find ways to communicate the change vision. You will learn how your beliefs often stand in the way of change and how they can start debunking their thinking to become effective leaders in this digital, connected age.
The group will share their progress, and support and challenge each other along the way and be encouraged to create practical implementation plans and explore how to validate and assess progress made. Your group will share ideas, suggest solutions and offer different ways of thinking within a support and challenge group.
Workshop Objectives:
• Define the key steps to managing change
• Develop a plan to lead complex and large-scale change, recognising barriers and constraints
• Consider ways of sustaining change
• Engage and inspire people to create an inclusive and learning culture across a whole system.
