North West Aspiring CEO Network

This member-led network provides a space to learn, reflect, connect and replenish in an entirely confidential peer community. The network extends leadership thinking and practice through engagement with local and national leaders building resourcefulness for now, and in the future.

Executive Coaching

One to one support such as coaching offers a focused, confidential, and developmental space. This one-to-one bespoke relationship is often perceived as the most effective development intervention that a senior leader in the NHS can access.

Inspiring Leaders

Inspiring Leaders has been developed by the NW Talent Team for all individuals that are displaying the behaviours and competencies of an Executive Director or Chief Executive.

Inspiring Leaders grants individuals access to a suite of tools (e.g., mock interviews, career coaching) and workshops to support them with reflecting on their career, gaining personal insight and then transition to their aspirant role.

The Aspiring Chief Executive programme has been designed to deliver an exceptional development and challenging programme to prepare those with the potential to become chief executives. This programme is currently paused.

Executive Director Pathway

The Executive Director Pathway (EDP) is for those who demonstrate high potential and the interest to become an executive director on an NHS Provider Trust Board within the next 12–24 months.

NExT Programme

This 6-to-12-month programme gives a unique insight into the role and responsibilities of being an NHS non-executive director. Individuals join a trust board and act as a NED to gain insight in bridging knowledge gaps and ensuring better performance at any future NED interview.

The Nye Bevan programme accelerates people into executive roles that span organisational boundaries; and supports senior leaders to move beyond leadership within their area of expertise. This 12 month facilitated programme is for those aspiring to an executive director or equivalent role in the next 2 – 3 years (on application).
