Network Learning Events

Coaching and Mentoring Essentials

Network Learning Events are designed to be interactive and provide coaches and mentors with access to CPD, focusing on current, topical issues to enhance knowledge, skills, effectiveness and overall coaching and mentoring practice.

Our Network Learning Events also provide dedicated space for networking with your peers and allowing you to meet and engage with a supportive network of like-minded individuals sharing best practice across the region. Through this you help to influence the current and future agenda in your locality/organisation and support the development of a coaching and mentoring culture across the North West.

Workshop Overviews

Below is a summary of just some of the workshops that will be available at our Network Learning Events.

This session is for any coach or mentor who wants to get back to basics. It’s an opportunity to refresh your skills as we share a range of practical tools and helpful reminders. It includes…

– Using a coaching wheel

– Refresh of the GROW model

– How to get started

This session will offer coaches and mentors the opportunity to explore what to expect from supervision and why this matters to your coaching or mentoring practice. We will learn more about the purpose and what the focus can be using the 3 headlines…

Normative – are we working ethically and professionally?

Formative  – are we developing our practice?

Restorative – are we looking after our own wellbeing?

This session will support coaches and mentors who want to explore working with values. It will be an opportunity to understand what matters and give participants a chance to practise using values cards.

Appreciative inquiry is a powerful yet simple framework that sparks hope, optimism, and strengths, leading to positive and curious conversations. It shifts the focus from problems to possibilities. This session explores the concept of appreciative inquiry and learn how to apply it in our conversations to create a positive impact. You will actively engage in an appreciative inquiry exercise during this workshop. Because as David Cooperrider wisely said, “our words create our worlds.”

Did you know everyone possesses unique neurological superpowers, known as strengths? By regularly utilizing these strengths, we enhance well-being, resilience, and motivation.

This session will explore strengths by engaging in an exercise called me at my best. Remember, as Marcus Buckingham wisely said, true excellence comes from maximising strengths, not fixing weaknesses. You will discover how to help others find and leverage their strengths for improved performance.

In this session you will explore some powerful mentoring tools to add to your toolbox. We will also explore the concept of habits and how they can be used to support lasting change.
