Join us at the 2025 Festival of Leadership as we celebrate the NHS North West region’s leadership achievements and explore the unique characteristics that define our region’s approach to leadership. This unmissable event is designed for senior system leaders at executive and board levels and aspiring leaders eager to make an impact in today’s evolving healthcare landscape.

This year we’re focusing on:

1. Connect:
Meet and engage with peers, new and old, in a dynamic networking space, creating meaningful connections that foster system-wide partnerships.

2. Contribute:
Participate in engaging panel discussions and hands-on workshops that focus on the critical challenges and opportunities of leadership today.

3. Celebrate:
Exploring and shining a light on the unique elements of North West leadership that drive innovation, resilience, and collaboration in our systems. Gain insights into lessons learned from challenges and achievements.

Agenda

09:00 am – 09:30 am: Breakfast

Kickstart the day with a warm welcome and breakfast.

09:30 am – 10:00 am: Welcome & Membership Tour

A welcome into the festival space from Frances Dodd, Head of the NHS North West Leadership Academy, followed by a highlights tour of the NHS North West Leadership Academy offer in 2025 and what you can look forward to accessing in 2026!

10:00 am – 10:45 am: Networking

A facilitated networking space where senior leaders can meet and get to know one another, forging new connections that can become the bedrock of a productive system of partnerships.

10:45 am – 12:15 pm: Open Panel

What’s Our Northwest Leadership Story?”

What’s our Northwest leadership story? What makes it unique? What are our achievements and challenges? Where do we go next, and what do we need? In this open-seat panel, you are invited to join a diverse panel of accomplished leaders to reflect on the North West’s unique leadership narrative.

12:15 pm – 13:00 pm: Lunch

Enjoy a networking lunch and continue conversations with peers and experts.

13:00 pm – 14:30 pm: The Great NHS North West Marketplace

A marketplace populated with the best projects, initiatives and pilots the North West has to offer in 2025…

14:30 pm – 15:45 pm: Headline Speaker

A talk from a big headline speaker.

15:45 pm – 16:00 pm: Closing Words From France Dodd

The festival is an invite-only event. This is to ensure an equitable balance is maintained between the different, regions, roles and organisations that make up the health and care system in the North West. If you or a colleague wishes to attend the Festival but have not received an invite please contact [email protected] to be added to our waiting list.
No. This is a free event for NHS staff.
Yes, the Festival of Leadership will include tea, coffee and water available at regular intervals as well as a fully catered buffet lunch. Please let us know during registration if you have any dietary requirements.
We encourage contributions from health and care organisations and staff across the North West. If you are interested in presenting a workshop or session, at the 2025 Festival of Leadership please email [email protected].
