Workshop Information

Collaboration: Exploration towards opportunity

In this interactive session, we will explore collaborative leadership and the opportunities it brings to drive positive change within your systems. We will work together to share insights, learn from peers, and collaborate to foster collaborative leadership opportunities for the future.

Building a culture of staff wellbeing: Making it real

This lively, interactive session will immerse you in the story of a current culture change programme that’s gaining pace across the NHS. Grounded in the real experience of local colleagues, we’ll look at what we mean by ‘a culture of staff wellbeing’, how building a culture is distinct from taking action and what’s working (and not) to nudge and enable our NHS culture into wellness.

Embracing change: Strategies for advancing Anti-racism in NHS organisations

NHS organisations in the northwest are striving to become Anti-racist organisations, and those on this journey speak often about their sense of pride and how humbled they feel by the experience and self discovery.

The focus of the workshop is to share organisational journeys towards Anti-racism, from those who are embedding the principles and achieved Bronze level of the northwest BAME Assembly Anti-racist Framework. It will be a candid, safe and open forum to explore an organisational journey of transformation including challenges and barriers, opportunities and key learning. We will explore how you can be an enabler and what this may need to look like to progress at an individual and organisational level.

Creating and enabling system change

In April 2024, four small groups of colleagues started experimenting with how they could use their power and influence in new ways, to make an even more positive difference to:

– People of all ages needing Continuing Care in Cheshire West
– People remaining at home and independent for as long as possible in Cheshire West (Home First)
– People being discharged from hospital in the Wigan area
– The lives of adults with learning disabilities in the Halton area

All within the context and reality of the UK economic and policy environment.

Come along to hear what we discovered – and what has changed – during our 6 months of learning together on the System OD Consulting Skills Programme.

The future of healthcare: Community-driven leadership strategies

This session facilitated by Collaborate Out Loud CIC (A North West based social enterprise) health and care leaders from across the North West to space and time to explore the importance of community leadership, hear stories of change and explore what this looks like in their context.

Community, citizen, grassroots (and there are many more terms for it) is an important part of leadership for system change and transformation. As leaders in large and complex organisation, we can have a greater impact on health outcomes through engaging differently with our communities and going beyond traditional methods of engagement and consultation. We will explore different approaches and what we can learn and take from these as leaders in health and care.

The workshop will be an interactive session that will draw upon stories and experiences from across the North West.
