Understanding and Working with Power
Overview:
This session will explore the dynamics of power in systems and how to work with and use power effectively and compassionately. It will focus on how authority and power can be devolved and shared in order to maximise system integration and leadership.
- An inquiry into power as leaders in health and care systems. Where is power, who has it? What do we mean by power? What is our own relationship to power?
- Aspects of power and inequality: how can we use our understanding of power to build greater equality into our health and care system?
- Application of Learning. Power mapping, exploring types of power and strategies for power-sharing in relation to specific issues.

This session is aimed at leaders working across systems and has been commissioned to directly support leaders across the North West. This session is ideal for:
