Understanding and Working With Power
A range of challenges face leaders across the health and care system, from delivering against a tighter financial position for health and care services nationally, rising demand for services, rapid technological changes, growing workforce pressures, increasing scrutiny, a greater need to work in partnership and to rapidly adjust organisational strategies in light of the wider integrated system context.
This workshop will allow aspiring executive leaders and those new to such roles, to take time out and step back – to reflect on what has been achieved to date, take stock of the current position and plan together for the future, by:-
- Exploring the dynamics of power in complex systems.
- Consider how to work with and use power effectively and compassionately.
- Focus upon devolving and sharing authority and power in order to maximise system integration, and addressing the concept of power and privilege.
