The NHS North West Leadership Faculty Network is a community of accredited trainers from member organisations, supported by the NHS North West Leadership Academy, who deliver key leadership development programmes locally and regionally.
The NHS North West Leadership Faculty Network enables member organisations to build internal capability to deliver high-quality leadership development, while contributing to region-wide programmes that support collective leadership priorities across the North West.

Express interestHow the programmes work
All NHS North West Leadership Faculty Network train the trainer programmes follow a consistent, blended delivery model that combines theory, practice and supported application.
Programmes begin with an extended introductory session, which establishes a shared understanding and sets the conditions for effective learning.
Participants then take part in a series of facilitated practice sessions, which provide opportunities to apply learning in a safe and supportive environment.
Across the programme, participants are supported to plan how they will apply their learning within their own organisation
Commitment to the north west
Membership of the NHS North West Leadership Faculty Network is underpinned by a shared commitment to collective leadership development across the North West.
Alongside delivering programmes within their own organisations, facilitators are expected to contribute some capacity to supporting regional participants. This ensures equitable access to development opportunities and strengthens collaboration across the system.
Facilitators will:
- Receive direct expressions of interest from regional participants
- Manage their own availability and capacity alongside organisational priorities
To support continuous improvement and demonstrate impact, facilitators will work in partnership with the NHS North West Leadership Academy to provide light-touch, standardised evaluation feedback for their cohorts and delivery activity.
