DESCRIPTION:This is a two-part session\nSession 1 – 23rd June 9am – 12pm \nSession 2 – 28th June 1pm – 4pm \nOverview:\nWith the current changes in the health and social care landscape it is now more important than ever to build effective working relationships with all different styles of individuals and address things that might prevent that. At the heart of these relationships are conversations; some of which can feel challenging and uncomfortable. In these situations\, we may at times need to adopt styles or approaches which might not come naturally to us. \nWhat will the session cover:\nThis module involves applying sound psychological theory and practices to make a real difference in personal performance in challenging communications. You will: \n\nExplore how clarifying feelings of threat enables us to see things more clearly and solve problems more effectively\nApply evidence-based models for understanding different approaches to challenge and responding to these most effectively\nGain insight and techniques around handling thinking errors and distortions which may hamper our success in building resilience and in dealing with challenging communications\nWork interactively with actors\, in pairs and in groups to try out different styles and learning from each another\nReceive 1-1 support from a trusted partner in applying a robust approach to an upcoming challenging conversation you may be facing\nDevelop an action plan in relation to your own specific conversation or issue going forward\n\nWho is it for?\nThis offer has been commissioned to directly support senior leaders across the North West (including but not exclusive to NHS Organisation Board and Sub Board post-holders\, Executive and Governing Body Leads\, Primary Care Network senior leadership teams and those working across system level roles). \nBook your place

DESCRIPTION:About the Event\nTo support health and adult social care leaders to better understand neurodivergence in the workplace\, know how to assess if they are working in an inclusive organisation and learn how to implement change in order to become a more inclusive employer. \nSpeakers\nJon Salmon – Specialism: Dyslexia\nJon is an award-winning video executive producer\, a digital pioneer and a campaigner. Co-founder of branded entertainment agency Byte Entertainment and Co-CEO of the Speakers\nCollective. Jon speaks openly about his dyslexia\, the shame of his late diagnosis and the realisation that thinking slightly differently has enabled him to have a diverse and successful\ncreative career. Jon is passionate about sharing his own lived experience of being neurodiverse to support organisations and other individuals in understanding the positive traits of being\ndyslexic. \nHolly Sutcliffe – Specialism: Autism\nHolly is a Neurodivergent Mental Health Advocate\, who works with individuals\, families and institutions as an Integrated Holistic Coach. As a late-diagnosed autistic human\, Holly finally\nrealised why and how she has struggled for so long to live a ‘full life’. Now\, she embraces her version of ‘full’\, which looks totally different to a neurotypical one and embraces the joyful\,\nconscious\, heart-led life she lives with her daughter by the sea. \nLearning Outcomes\nBy the end of the masterclass you will: \n\nunderstand why inclusion is important – Legality Framework etc\nknow how to assess inclusion and know if you are an inclusive organisation\nhave a better understanding of Neurodivergence in the workplace\nhave learned how to build inclusion in your workplace through behaviours\, practices and values and\nbecome an organisation that stands for its employees\n\nBook your place
