SUMMARY:Collaborative Masterclass: Understanding generational differences
DESCRIPTION:Overview\n\n\n\nWhere there are people\, there are generations. From the workplace to home\, multiple generations shape how we connect and communicate. \n\n\n\nGenerational leadership is about leading in a way that recognises\, values and brings together the different perspectives\, expectations and working styles of multiple age groups within the workforce. And they adapt their leadership approach accordingly. \n\nBy the end of this session\, participants will be able to: \n\n\nUnderstand generational diversity: Explore the different generations in today’s workforce and what motivates them.\nRecognise the impact of generational influences: Understand how expectations\, values\, and experiences affect engagement\, productivity\, and teamwork.\nAdapt leadership and communication styles: Flex approaches to communicate confidently and inclusively across age groups.\nModel inclusive leadership behaviours: Strengthen team cohesion\, psychological safety and collaboration\nSupport health and wellbeing across generations: Recognise differing wellbeing priorities and apply inclusive\, sustainable approaches\n\nBook your place

SUMMARY:Cultural humility
DESCRIPTION:From cultural competence to cultural humility\nIn increasingly complex and diverse systems\, executive leaders are required to make decisions that impact not only their organisations and teams\, but the communities they serve. This masterclass supports leaders to move beyond traditional ideas of cultural competence towards cultural humility – a lifelong practice of reflection\, curiosity and learning that underpins culturally intelligent leadership. \nDesigned specifically for executive leaders and senior decision‑makers\, this session creates rare space to pause\, reflect and reconsider how personal culture\, power and perspective shape leadership behaviour. Rather than positioning leaders as experts who need to “know more”\, the session invites a shift from knowing to learning and from expert to curious leader – essential capabilities for modern\, human‑centred leadership. \nParticipants will strengthen reflective practice at a senior level. Leaders will explore the difference between cultural competence and cultural humility\, recognise their own cultural positioning\, and identify blind spots\, dominance and the often unseen norms of “how things are done”\, commonly referred to as the fish in water effect. \nThis masterclass is for leaders who recognise that inclusive\, equitable leadership is not about having the right answers\, but about asking better questions\, and translating awareness into meaningful\, everyday leadership behaviours. \nThis session will support you to: \n\nUnderstand the distinction between cultural competence and cultural humility\nRecognise personal culture as the foundation for understanding others\nExplore cultural blind spots\, power and dominance in leadership decision‑making\nStrengthen motivation to move from awareness into behavioural practice\nDevelop 21st‑century leadership capabilities grounded in humility\, reflection and curiosity\n\nThis is not a technical or compliance‑based session. It is an opportunity for executive leaders to deepen self‑awareness\, challenge assumptions and lead with greater humanity\, insight and impact. \nBook your place

SUMMARY:Collaborative Masterclass: Empowering managers to support their teams
DESCRIPTION:Empowering managers to support their teams through burnout\nBurnout in health and social care isn’t just rising – it is one of the most critical risks to workforce sustainability\, staff retention\, and quality of care. In today’s stretched\, high‑pressure landscape\, burnout is rarely an individual issue; it shows up in how teams function: workload becomes uneven\, communication narrows\, compassion fatigue grows\, and people stop asking for help. \nThis session is built around compassionate team working\, practical ways for managers and senior leaders to strengthen day‑to‑day team conditions so that pressure is shared safely\, signs of strain are noticed early\, and colleagues can recover and perform well together. Managers remain the backbone of staff wellbeing\, but the focus here is on creating team norms\, routines\, and psychological safety so that support is not dependent on one person “coping” alone. \nDesigned for senior and system-level leaders who want to enable compassionate\, high‑functioning teams through confident\, capable managers. Using practical and evidence‑informed approaches\, participants will learn how to shape ways of working so that managers can act early\, hold meaningful conversations\, and reduce avoidable pressure – protecting staff experience and service quality. \nLearning Objectives: \n\nSpot early signs of burnout at a team and individual level (e.g.\, fragmentation\, conflict\, withdrawal\, errors\, compassion fatigue).\nUse simple\, compassionate approaches that managers and peers can apply immediately (check-ins and listening prompts).\nStrengthen psychological safety so teams can speak up early\, ask for help\, and learn without blame.\n\nBook your place

SUMMARY:Learning to excel in a VUCA environment
DESCRIPTION:VUCA (Volatile\, Uncertain\, Complex and Ambiguous) conditions ask a lot of leaders and teams. The temptation is to grip tighter – more control\, more planning\, more performance of certainty leaders don’t actually have in today’s world. This in-person workshop helps NHS leaders look honestly at what’s happening in their own team\, work out the three things that will make the biggest difference\, and leave with simple\, practical steps to take the next day. The session draws on the LeaderX Team Performance Method\, developed across 20 years of work with NHS teams. \nAs part of this half-day\, face-to-face session\, delegates will: \n\nBuild greater self-awareness as a leader\, so you can notice your own patterns under pressure and lead with more intention.\nTake an honest look at your own team\, using the three patterns that drive team performance under VUCA: clarity\, connection and intention.\nLeave with three practical actions to take back to your team the next day\, supported by peer connection with NHS leaders navigating the same conditions.\n\nBook your place
